My Story

I've spent 20+ years in data and analytics, and the through-line of my career has been building things from scratch that create real business value.

I started in healthcare analytics at MedTrak Services, where I built some of the earliest predictive models for identifying prescription abuse patterns—work that would now be called machine learning. That experience taught me that data isn't just about dashboards and reports; it's about finding patterns that change how organizations operate.

At the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, I led the first-ever Fiscal Service cloud application deployment—pioneering federal cloud adoption when most agencies were still debating whether it was possible. I served as Interim Security Officer, establishing FedRAMP frameworks.

One of the highlights of my work came at American Century Investments, where I architected a 401K SafeHarbor automated rollover system that generated over $20 million in new assets in its first year. That project crystallized something important: the best data architecture doesn't just support the business—it directly generates revenue.

At Fittle (Xerox's financial services subsidiary), I led a team of 25-30 engineers building a greenfield AWS data platform that became the central nervous system for revenue operations. AWS featured that work in their Business Intelligence Blog as an industry best practice.

Today, I advise Fortune 500 companies on data strategy while still getting my hands dirty building. I believe the best data leaders never lose touch with the technical craft.
